HEALTHY LIVING
Spiced Tomato Drink

1 can (46oz) tomato juice
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions
In a large saucepan, combine tomato juice, sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and pepper.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.  Remove from the heat; stir in lemon juice.
Serve warm or cold

Note:  celery sticks, optional

One serving (3/4 cup) equals 62 calories
Diabetic exchanges: 1 vegetable and 1/2 starch
