HOT CLAM DIP


HOT CLAM DIP

3 package (8oz each) cream cheese, softened
2 cans minced clams, juice from 1 can
6 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
tinfoil
1 round loaf of bread

Directions
Prepare bread bowl. Fold two pieces of tinfoil together. Mix all ingredients together well by hand. Pour mixture into bread bowl and cover with lid.  Wrap in tinfoil and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.  To serve; remove from tinfoil, take the top off, and serve with cubed french bread or crackers.

Fold two pieces of tinfoil together.  Enough to cover the entire bread bowl


take your large round loaf of bread and cut the top off
(I use sourdough)


remove the bread from inside, leaving a shell


ingredients


mix ingredients together


Don't forget the lemon juice.  I almost did.


spoon mixture into bread bowl


use the back of a spoon to press the cheese mixture against the wall of the bread bowl, to completely fill it in


place on tinfoil


place lid on top


wrap it up


place on baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 375 degrees


remove from tinfoil


serve warm with cubed french bread or crackers


Refrigerate leftovers and enjoy later as a spread on crackers.

  1. Oh...all the dip recipes look fabulous, especially the one with bacon. I'm a dip and chip kind of girl. I could forget the meals and just live on that. Your blog is getting better and yummier everyday. Just ignore those "head shakes!"
