STRAWBERRY SPINACH SALAD

1bunch spinach, rinsed or ready to serve in a bag

1 pound strawberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup white wine vinegar

1 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon poppy seed

nuts (optional) I use sweetened sliced almonds

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the amount you wish to serve; spinach, strawberries, and nuts if desired.

In a blender or by hand, mix sugar, salt, vinegar, and oil. Dressing should be smooth.  Stir in the poppy seeds.

Pour desired amount of dressing over salad, and toss to coat.

have all your ingredients ready to be combined, just before serving

sweetened nuts if desired

keep dressing in a jar and refrigerate, shake well before using
