(French Toast the Dutch way)
WENTELTEEFJES
6 slices of raisin bread or white bread
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
Beat eggs, add other ingredients and stir well. Thoroughly soak slices of bread in mixture, and fry until light brown in butter. Place on serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Note: My husband and I love to drizzle a little syrup over them...Mmmm!
Over the years while our girls were growing up, we made lots of French Toast, but I've never used raisin bread! I love raisin bread so this would be a perfect fit for me. Your blog just keeps getting better and better friend.
