Dutch Onion Rings
(a salad with a sweet celery seed dressing)


UIEN RINGEN
Dutch Onion Rings

2 large onions
boiling water
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions
Peel onions, slice 1/4 inch thick and separate into rings. Cover with boiling water.  Pour off liquid after two minutes, and refrigerate to chill. Mix the rest of the ingredients for dressing, and refrigerate. 
Just before serving, toss dressing with onion rings.

Peel and slice onions


cover onions with boiling water for 2 minutes


pour off liquid and chill in the refrigerator


mix the rest of the ingredients for the dressing
 and refrigerate until ready to serve

These chilled and sweetened onion rings
are simply delicious

  1. This type of Onion Ring is something I've never tried! My Grandmother South would have loved these, since she really liked onions. I'm loving all these Dutch Recipes.
